We had a very busy end of August. Dylan was in a hockey tournament in Marlboro on August 24, 25, 26th. We did well. On Sunday after the final game, we left the rink in Marlboro and headed out to Springfield to Six Flags. We spent the afternoon at Hurricane Harbor which is the water park at Six Flags. We stayed overnight at a local Clarion. The next day we spent the entire day at Six Flags Amusement ride side. The kids absolutely loved all of the rides especially the Roller Coaster type rides Mind Eraser, Batman, Cyclone, Thunderbolt and Pandemonium. Madison went on all of them with Joe and Dylan (I am very grateful to stay on the ground and take video/pictures and hold everybody's stuff). When we got home from that mini trip we worked for a few days and then Wednesday after work - we packed up the car again and this time we took Puck and we headed up to North Conway, NH. We went to Jackson Falls and the kids waded around in the crystal clear water. We went up to Cathedral Ledge at Echo Lake. We went shopping at the outlet stores. We mini golfed at Pirates Cove. All of us got a hole in one (at different holes). We took Puck swimming (he chased a man and some ducks....). We went on The Alpine Slide at Attitash. Dylan fell off of his slide on our 3rd trip down the mountain, his sled went down without him so he had to hitch a ride with me. That was too fun. We then went straight to the first aid area for a few bandaids and bacetration. He is fine. Next trip down, Joe got a good bruise on his forearm...But fun was had by all. Dylan and Joe Canoed the Saco River for a few hours on Sunday. On our way home we Drove the van up to the top of Mt. Washington. It was 79 degrees at the bottom and 44 degrees at the top (windchill was around 30 degrees) very cold with flip flops and shorts on. No guardrails on the road and very narrow. Madison and I were very nervous.....We were in the clouds as they wisked by. Gorgeous views-you could see Canada. Drove straight through to Weymouth and dropped the kids off at nanny and grampys house for a sleepover-Joe and I went home emptied the car and headed to the Cheescake Factory for our 13th wedding anniversary dinner. On Sunday, Madison had her first cheerleading game in Milton. What a whirldwind of a week. We really got alot done in a short amount of time. We had a blast - but it sure feels good to be home - School starts on Wednesday. Back to a routine. And their off.......................
