Hannah Montana December 21, 2007

We actually got tickets to see this sold out show! WOW - It was awesome. It was Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers at the Worcester DCU Center. We took half a day and drove out on a cloudy almost snowy day. We arrived about 4PM, checked into the hotel and headed over to the show. Outside the venue was the tour bus and karaoke tent, as well as trivia and other fun stuff! We didn't win any of the raffle prizes (meet Miley/Hannah, 4th row seats, etc) but we had a blast hanging around such an enthusiastic crowd)! The show started at 7PM and started with the Jonas Brothers entering the stage from the ceiling....rocking out with were the kids of America...After a few rocking songs - intermission then Hannah Montana arrived via a large box from the ceiling. There were fireworks and streamers with confetti, amazing lights and everything. The music was fun and the kids had a blast! Definately worth the wait (and the money).

Can you say Snow?
December 2007

One of our family traditions is to get our Christmas Tree across the street from Blue Hills Cemetary and then see the lights at the cemetary and make a wish at the waterfall. This year we were a bit early - and the lights and music weren't on yet. We got a great tree anyway though, and will go back before the season is over to make our wishes and see the lights.

Autumn Pumpkins-Homegrown

The kids got Giant Pumpkin Seeds from Nanny and Grampy for Easter this year and decided to try and grow our own Pumpkin Patch. It took off - literally! Joe warned me that it would take over the garden and we should plant it in a large area......He was right. We ended up with 6 of our very own and we watched and waited for them to turn Orange. We were able to share our labors of love with Logan and Emerson too.
First Day of School 2007

Dylan and Madison were heading off in different directions this new school year. Dylan started East Middle School (6th Grade) and Madison is in 4th Grade at The Flaherty School. They are growing up so fast. They are enjoying school so far, but they both agree that they have way to much homework, and not enough lunchtime.

Our Summer Vacation (finally some time off!)

We had a very busy end of August. Dylan was in a hockey tournament in Marlboro on August 24, 25, 26th. We did well. On Sunday after the final game, we left the rink in Marlboro and headed out to Springfield to Six Flags. We spent the afternoon at Hurricane Harbor which is the water park at Six Flags. We stayed overnight at a local Clarion. The next day we spent the entire day at Six Flags Amusement ride side. The kids absolutely loved all of the rides especially the Roller Coaster type rides Mind Eraser, Batman, Cyclone, Thunderbolt and Pandemonium. Madison went on all of them with Joe and Dylan (I am very grateful to stay on the ground and take video/pictures and hold everybody's stuff). When we got home from that mini trip we worked for a few days and then Wednesday after work - we packed up the car again and this time we took Puck and we headed up to North Conway, NH. We went to Jackson Falls and the kids waded around in the crystal clear water. We went up to Cathedral Ledge at Echo Lake. We went shopping at the outlet stores. We mini golfed at Pirates Cove. All of us got a hole in one (at different holes). We took Puck swimming (he chased a man and some ducks....). We went on The Alpine Slide at Attitash. Dylan fell off of his slide on our 3rd trip down the mountain, his sled went down without him so he had to hitch a ride with me. That was too fun. We then went straight to the first aid area for a few bandaids and bacetration. He is fine. Next trip down, Joe got a good bruise on his forearm...But fun was had by all. Dylan and Joe Canoed the Saco River for a few hours on Sunday. On our way home we Drove the van up to the top of Mt. Washington. It was 79 degrees at the bottom and 44 degrees at the top (windchill was around 30 degrees) very cold with flip flops and shorts on. No guardrails on the road and very narrow. Madison and I were very nervous.....We were in the clouds as they wisked by. Gorgeous views-you could see Canada. Drove straight through to Weymouth and dropped the kids off at nanny and grampys house for a sleepover-Joe and I went home emptied the car and headed to the Cheescake Factory for our 13th wedding anniversary dinner. On Sunday, Madison had her first cheerleading game in Milton. What a whirldwind of a week. We really got alot done in a short amount of time. We had a blast - but it sure feels good to be home - School starts on Wednesday. Back to a routine. And their off.......................

On Saturday July 28th we celebrated Madison's 9th birthday. Her actual birthday is July 31st. Eleven of her friends came over for a pool party. The weather was "Hot, Hot, Hot and humid. The theme was Hannah Montana. After the party, 4 friends spent the night. We were briefly interupted by some downpours-but they were dressed appropriately and ran around dancinng and singing in the rain then jumped in the pool. After a cookout, Smores and swimming we finally headed indoors around 10PM. A few games and lights out at 12:30....Breakfast in bathing suits poolside for more fun till late dinner time on Sunday. I am totally ready for a vacation.

Sandwich Baseball Tournament

We went to the Cape on July 6,7,8 for Dylans summerball baseball tournament. We ended up 8th out of 19 teams. I think the best part of the weekend was when alot of the team headed down to the town beach and walked out on the boardwalk. At high tide you can jump the bridge. Here are some great photos. Joe had a ball doing his famous cannonballs.
Our First Official Blog

Well, I guess it is our turn to join the bandwagon and start a blog......Here is an update so far for the summer.
Joe started his new job in June at Environmental Partners in Quincy. He loves the new place and the commute is fabulous. We attended his company party on July 11 in Green Harbor. It was nice to meet everyone he is working with. What a beautiful day to be on the beach.
Adam is working this summer doing landscaping 10 hour days. He almost has his license. A few more hours of drivers ed and it's his. Madison starts her cheerleading in a week or so.....that will keep her busy. Dylan is still playing baseball. The summerball team so far is undefeated and the playoff's start soon.
